Within a few years the high school gained public appreciation as one of the best schools in the District. Ranks were bagged by the students in the state level examinations. The results have been fairly high. For a few years (1965-72) the high school was upgraded as a higher secondary school with 11th Standard in Science and Arts group. In 1970 the school celebrated its Silver Jubilee and in 1994 the Golden Jubilee function was organised. On that occasion Suvarna Sourbha, the souvenir was released. Mr. M. Vasudev Rao was the First Headmaster of the School and won the National award. Mr. P. Narayana Achar  was the third Headmaster and won the State award. Computer Education is provided to all the students. The school has a full fledged laboratory and library. Eight Hundred students are on the rolls. The school has a very spacious play ground.

In the year 2004 the school celebrated its Diamond Jubilee and with the help of Vidyadayinee Old Students a Diamond Jubilee Auditorium was constructed. A souvenir named Vajra Darpana was  also released.
