Govinda Dasa College was started in 1967 the Golden Jubilee Year of the Sangha. The college has made rapid progress during the last four decades. The college is functioning in its own spacious buildings situated opposite to Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple, Iddya by the side of N.H. 17. Computer Education was introduced in 1992 (Silver Jubilee Year) and the college has a very good computerized library, well equipped laboratories and a large playground. The college provides education for about 700 students and the results of the examinations have been fairly high all these years, with some students getting the best grades in the state level examinations.
